Video: Echelon Is Building an AI Workforce for Enterprise IT

Echelon co-founder and CEO Rahul Kayala sits down with BCV partner Rak Garg to share the story behind a company building AI agents for the most critical business systems in the enterprise.
Rahul looks back on the early days after leaving Moveworks, from laps around a parking lot with Rak to speaking with more than 90 people in 30 days. A hand-recorded iPhone launch video went viral, and the following week, 19 back-to-back meetings at ServiceNow’s biggest conference convinced him and his co-founders the pain was real.
The problem is easy to describe. A simple change to a core application, like adding a field or updating an approval process, can take three to eight weeks, while engineers elsewhere in the same company ship with AI tools in a day. For every dollar companies spend on a software license, they spend $6 to $10 on services, a trillion-dollar market built on manual labor and consultants who walk out the door with the knowledge.
Echelon’s agents take on projects from scoping through delivery and maintenance, starting with ServiceNow and extending to SAP, Workday and homegrown systems. Every project makes the next hundred faster and better. Rahul also describes how the team hires: architects who were rebels at their previous companies, the ones who pushed to use AI and were told ‘no’.
Watch to hear why Rahul and Rak see a chance to build a $100 billion transformation company that actually transforms companies.
