In 2022, we’ve focused on two core dimensions:

1) Building our investing team to refine and strengthen our expertise across our four domains of Fintech, Apps, Commerce, and Infra.

2) Establishing our platform team and investing in our operating team so we can provide the best access and resources for our portfolio across talent, marketing, events, customer development, and more.

To accomplish these twin goals, we are squarely focused on hiring experts in their craft to develop the best possible environment for founders to succeed and thrive. Below are our latest 11 new hires representing every office and team from the last two months – read on to learn more about them!

CAMPBELL HOWE

• Focus area: Early-stage investments in fintech and commerce
• Before BCV: Campbell joins us from Harvard Kennedy Business School.
• Fun fact: Campbell has been a certified SCUBA diver for almost 10 years and has ventured through underwater caves, seen bull sharks up close (without a cage!), and swam with giant manta rays at night. 

ALYSAA CO

• Focus area: Early-stage investments in software, fintech, and commerce 
• Before BCV: Alysaa joins us from Inovia Capital, where she was an Associate.
• Fun fact: Alysaa is an avid runner, rock-climber, and proud Canadian!

KRISTIE HAN

• Focus area: Growth-stage investments in application software and fintech across North America, Europe, and Latin America
• Before BCV: Kristie joins us from PSG, where she was a Vice President.
• Fun fact: Kristie was born in Seoul, Korea, but grew up in Mexico City and San Diego. She’s always on the hunt for the best Mexican food!

ABBY MEYERS

• Focus area: Growth-stage investments in fintech and application software 
• Before BCV: Abby joins us from Bain & Company, where she was an Associate Consultant.
• Fun fact: Abby makes time for some form of movement every day, whether that is yoga, reformer Pilates, or a long walk on the West Side Highway.

DILLY SANBORN-MARSH

• Focus area: Early-stage investments in climate tech and fintech 
• Before BCV: Dilly joins us from Blend, where she was a founding Product and General Manager.
• Fun fact: Dilly is on a quest to bake the perfect croissant (lamination is no joke)!

LIZ CHERSON

• Focus area: Events and community building 
• Before BCV: Liz joins us from Greylock, where she was the Director of Events & Network Engagement.
• Fun fact: Liz plays the ukulele and has quite the impressive Zoom background collection.

POLINA JACKA

• Focus area: Creating streamlined investor workflows powered by data-driven insights and automation 
• Before BCV: Polina joins us from Compass, where she was a Group Product Manager.
• Fun fact: Polina didn’t start driving until she was 25!

JESSICA LAWSON

• Focus area: Branded content and campaigns for BCV and its portfolio companies 
• Before BCV: Jessica joins us from Daily Harvest, where she was Chief of Staff.
• Fun fact: Jessica has moved residences 5 times in 5 years and is ready to be done moving!

AVNEESH MEHTA

• Focus area: Data-driven investing solutions that support the entire investing lifecycle
• Before BCV: Avneesh joins us from Sharecare, where he was a Data Engineer.
• Fun fact: Avneesh loves all things music (freestyle dance, making music, listening).

ALEX IDZAL

• Focus area: Customer development across the BCV portfolio 
• Before BCV: Alex joins us from Orum, where she was a Business Recruiter.
• Fun fact: Alex spent a summer working as a costume designer a the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

ISABEL KAUFMAN

• Focus area: Finance and accounting for internal BCV operations
• Before BCV: Isabel joins us from CohnReznick, where she was an Assurance Associate.
• Fun fact: Isabel has a friend on the Celtics!
