Introducing Iris! The AI Analyst for Every Businessperson.

Iris brings real-time, insight-driven decision making to every information worker, without the bottlenecks of traditional data teams.
The speed of business continues to accelerate. Information workers and front-line businesspeople make data-driven decisions daily, yet they lack the information they need real-time. Reporting, analytics, and BI tools are mired in a slow, human-bottlenecked process that can take weeks or months to produce a needed report or to answer a data question. Companies have hired data teams to address this, but they are overwhelmed by requests, thus forcing businesspeople to make decisions with stale data or by sheer gut instinct because the data is lacking.
Enter Iris, the AI data analyst for every information worker inside a company. Like Glean for your knowledgebase, Iris is the AI solution for your business data and insights.
The Iris Solution: Self-learning agents, natively integrated to the cloud data warehouse, with zero setup time or configuration.
Iris’s AI agents work natively with existing cloud data warehouses (CDW) from Snowflake, Databricks, Google Big Query and Amazon Redshift. The system requires zero setup and can be running within one day. The Iris agents mine the query history of the CDW to form an initial understanding of the data structures of the warehouse and the translation of specific business metrics – ARR, NRR, etc. to specific tables in the database. Unlike alternative approaches like “natural language to SQL” tools which still require a data engineer to manually map metrics to tables (what many people call the semantic layer), Iris does this automatically incorporating appropriate access controls and guardrails to ensure the system is 100% accurate. Iris also leverages state-of-the-art reasoning capabilities to provide actual insights and business recommendations to the user versus simply providing a data output. The system learns as more people utilize the solution. Each question and answer can optionally be reviewed by the data team to double-check for accuracy and improve the reasoning of the solution. Iris customers have tried many solutions from startups and larger vendors and have been impressed by the quality of the results they are getting and amazed that the solution is up and running in hours.
A visionary team with ideal founder-market fit
We have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Amit Aggarwal, Iris’s founder and CEO, for over a decade. He was the VP of Engineering and then CTO of Bloomreach, a BCV-backed company that is the leader in AI ecommerce personalization. From there, Amit went on to co-found an AI consumer commerce website called The Yes (which BCV also backed) and was successfully sold to Pinterest. Prior to Bloomreach, Amit built deep technical expertise in AI via the fields of search quality and personalization through his time on the senior technical teams at Microsoft Bing, Google and Groupon. Amit brings deep technical expertise combined with a strong commercial instinct that has led to great customer momentum for Iris.
Jayanth Mysore was an early product leader for Google Analytics, one of the largest, most prevalent web and mobile analytics tools in the market. Post Google Analytics and leadership roles in Google Maps and Google Workspaces he was VP of Product and Product Marketing at Sigma Computing, the leader in modern BI built natively on top of cloud data warehouses. Jayanth understands the data space deeply and brings an intuitive sense of the current challenges with data engineering and reporting.
The combination of Jayanth and Amit represent the right team to solve this problem: technical depth in modern AI with domain expertise in the modern data stack. It’s hard to imagine better founder-market fit.

Iris is ushering a new norm for business decision making, and we at BCV are excited to be on the journey with them.
