Application Open Now: The 2026 BCV Labs Summer Fellowship

Generational problems require generational young talent

The BCV Labs Fellowship is a program for builders, technologists and researchers looking to deepen their craft and meet ambitious peers in San Francisco.

During Summer 2026, we are welcoming a select number of Labs Fellows to build alongside founders, investment partners and peers. BCV is the venture arm of Bain Capital, a $200B global firm that owns industry-defining companies across markets and geographies, from IT services in Europe to rare earth mining in Japan, to building materials in North America. That scale gives Fellows a rare window into how innovation meets the real economy and how great ideas turn into enduring companies.

Fellows will spend their summers deeply integrated into BCV while pursuing their primary internships in San Francisco. The program begins with a retreat in Sonoma and unfolds over the summer for 10 weeks, where Fellows will learn from BCV partners, founders and operators across our portfolio.

Past BCV Labs Fellows have spent their summers with us while interning at Decagon, Ramp, SpaceX, Open AI and more. Some Fellows have gone on to start companies of their own, after meeting their co-founders in the program. All leave with a clearer sense of purpose and remain connected to BCV.

Applications are open now for Summer 2026.

We are looking for an exceptional group of ambitious Labs Fellows for Summer 2026. Eligible students are planning to spend the summer interning in San Francisco, and are university students, post-graduate students or recent dropouts. The Labs Fellowship accepts applications on a rolling basis.

“I've been in a couple fellowships before but the BCV Labs Fellowship is one of the closest, most tight-knit communities out there. Plus, the BCV team is never too busy for one-on-ones, always there to talk about life advice or just life in technology.” - Howard Huang, UCLA, Scale AI

"In the startup world, finding ways to meet new and interesting people is super important. Joining BCV labs has been an excellent way for me to do that not only for the duration of the program but afterwards too!" - Julian Dai, Brown, Ramp

"BCV Labs was such a meaningful opportunity to connect with other fellows in San Francisco and learn directly from investors and founders. I particularly enjoyed our fireside chat with partners about how the early tech ecosystem evolved to become what it is today. Additionally, BCV sponsored the cohort to have one-on-one dinners, which resulted in some of my favorite conversations over the summer." - Anaïs Killian, Harvard, OpenAI
