What are your interests and passions outside of BCV?
I love exploring new places, whether it’s hiking a different trail or travelling to see friends around the world. My favorite type of exploration is underwater. I’ve been a certified SCUBA diver for almost ten years, and I feel very fortunate to have ventured through underwater caves, seen bull sharks up close (without a cage!), and swam with giant manta rays at night.
What is a self-care ritual you practice?
I try to go to my local farmer’s market most weekends.
What is compelling about your domain?
This is a fascinating time to be in fintech. There is tremendous opportunity — even among the regulatory complexity – to build lasting technologies, particularly those that increase transparency, security, and access. I’m also excited to see that climate and sustainability issues are increasingly recognized within and across the global financial system and how entrepreneurs are capitalizing on those tailwinds.
What do you look for when you partner with a founder?
I resonate most with founders who have an awareness of the impact of the technology that they are building – on not only users or customers, but also the broader community and ecosystem in which it operates.
What inspires you?
People inspire me! I am inspired every day talking to founders who are building creative solutions to today’s challenges. They get me excited about our future.
